Exploding In Sound (delivering good rock music since !008): Quick .

*[FMQB.com] As previously reported, the Pink Floyd catalog is acquiring a massive overhaul and reissue campaign from EMI that will get on September 26, encompassing CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, digital formats, viral marketing, iPhone Apps and more. Drummer Nick Mason says a "mellowing with old age" is what caused he and bandmates David Gilmour and Roger Waters to warm up to the thought of the catalog overhaul.

"It is a sea change from our level of view," Mason told Billboard.com. "We'd never put much thought into the theme of releasing incomplete or earlier versions of things, but I think the populace has changed. One now looks at these things and realizes there actually is worry and how things came nigh and what the other versions were and so on. We thought rather than just leave everything in the vaults, it might be worth bringing everything out and liberal people a perfect survey of what we've done." Of course, the reissue campaign brings many questions of a full Pink Floyd reunion tour, and Mason said there are no plans for it, but he will never say never. "The farseeing and light of it is, I go in hope. I'd love to really do something together again," he explained. "All of us are exposed to invitations to do things; the just thing that would cause it would be some feel that. there's some particularly good cause to do it together rather than separately. Perhaps we're acquiring a bit older and more appreciative of exactly how often it can think to our fanbase to see us together. I guess we simply have to look and see."

*[consequenceofsound.net] It`s difficult to explain what exactly took office in the beginning of Jack White`s three appearances on The Colbert Report this week, but I`ll try anyway. In alignment with his week-long summer concert series, StePhest Colbchella, Stephen Colbert is attempting to recreate "his years as a rocker" by enlisting the assistance of the stone and roll icon. In section one of "2011: A Rock Odyssey featuring Jack White," Colbert travels to Nashville to play White, and their conversation evolves from a word on artistic integrity to how "Seven Nation Army" would create a great soundtrack for a Dannon Yogurt commercial. Watch the time in all its glory below:
